SEQ Level 2 in Teaching Swimming qualification
The SEQ Level 2 in Teaching Swimming is an industry-recognised qualification for anyone who wants to learn to teach others to swim. Over 8 days of theory and practice, both in the pool and classroom, you will learn to:

plan and deliver swimming lessons

teach swimming skills and strokes

support swimmers of all ages and abilities

adapt lessons to individual needs

deliver lessons safely and professionally.

You just need a love of teaching
And what’s more, you don’t need to be a competent swimmer yourself to learn to teach. All we ask for is passion, a positive attitude, and the desire to pass on an essential life skill. Being a brilliant swimming teacher is more about patience, communication, and understanding people than experience in the water.
Course assessment
Your tutor will assess your written lesson plans and observe you teaching swimmers of different abilities. You will also sit an online, end-of-course exam. When you pass, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and formal proof of qualification.
